Stepping into a sacred space:
When you arrive, you will be welcomed into a ceremonial space intentionally prepared for you — a space blessed with prayer, elemental energy, and deep reverence for the journey you are about to take.

Opening Circle & Invocation:
We will gather in circle, call in the Four Directions, Earth, Sky, Ancestors, and Spirit Allies, and set powerful intentions for the drums we are about to birth. You will be invited to ground into your heart and connect with the spirit of your drum before creation begins.

Choosing Your Drum Size and Hide:
You will be guided to choose the size of the drum and the type of hide you feel most connected to.

This is a sacred part of the ceremony — an intuitive process of listening for the spirit of the drum that wishes to be birthed through you.

Each hide and hoop carries its own medicine, its own voice, and its own ancient memory.

Connecting with your materials:
You will receive your rawhide, hoop, lacing, and all the sacred elements you will work with. Before beginning, you will be guided to honor and bless these materials — acknowledging the tree, the animal, and the life force that have gifted themselves to this creation.

Sacred Drum Birthing:
With step-by-step guidance, you will lace, weave, and stretch your drum into being. Each pull of the cord becomes a prayer; each knot, a heartbeat.
You will be held in sacred space throughout — encouraged to move slowly, intentionally, and lovingly through the process.

Personal Reflection & Ceremony:
As your drum takes shape, you will have time for inner reflection, journaling, or quiet connection. Breathwork, gentle drumming, or song may be woven in as we honor the spirit emerging through your drum.

Blessing and Awakening Your Drum:

Once your drum is born, we will gather to bless each creation. Through breath, song, or sacred sound, you will awaken your drum — connecting its heartbeat with your own.

Closing Circle & Integration:
We will end by giving thanks to the spirits, the Earth, and the materials that made this sacred work possible. You will leave not only with a physical drum, but with a living, breathing ally — infused with your spirit, your prayers, and your healing.

🌿 Important Notes:
• No previous experience is needed. You will be lovingly guided through each step.
• All materials are provided unless otherwise noted.
• You are invited to bring any small sacred items you wish to place on the altar (such as crystals, feathers, photos, or intentions).
• Dress comfortably and in layers — we honor the body’s rhythms during creation.
• Bring water, a journal, and anything that supports your personal comfort and sacredness.

All creative materials provided: rawhide drumhead and lacing, maple hoop frame; wood stick, leather, padding for drum beater.
