- **Event Description**: Students, grades K-12th grades, of Haddon Heights, Barrington & Lawnside are invited to enter our Celebrate 250 Essay and Poster Contest! ***As we celebrate our nation’s 250th anniversary, we take this opportunity to reflect on the Declaration of Independence and the ideals that continue to shape our country today. We’d like to hear from you:  What matters most to you as an American and how does your story contribute to the American story? Students are welcome to write a one page essay OR create a poster reflecting the theme of the contest.   WINNERS and prizes will be announced on July 8th at 6pm, directly after the Reading of the Declaration of Independence!  PRIZES in each age group and category are provided by Haddon Heights Historical Society & the HH Friends of the Library! 1st prizes$25 cash and a collectible coin;2nd prizes- $10 cash and a collectible coin! DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS JUNE 27TH BY 2PM-NO LATE ENTRIES CAN BE ACCEPTED.   RULES AND DETAILS CAN BE VIEWED ON THE FLYER ATTACHED TO THIS EVENT.  QUESTIONS?
