Entry Fee is $5 and must be paid at Taiyo Golf Club on the day of the event.

This event is open to all children in Okinawa, ages 7 to 15. Boys and girls will compete in separate divisions in four age categories: 7-9 years old; 10-11 years old; 12-13 years old; and 14-15 years old. MCCS may combine age groups at its discretion if enrollments for specific age groups are deemed too low.

Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place overall in each age group. Medals for 1st place in each skill.

1300 – 1430 Free Junior Golf Clinic

1400 – 1500 Sign in

1500 – 1600 Driving and Chipping

1600 – 1630 Putting Competition

1630 – 1730 Pizza and refreshments

1730 – 1800 Awards

Bouncy Houses will be open before and after play 1400 – 1900.

There are free range balls for practice and junior golf clinic 1300 – 1430.

Pizza and refreshments after play for participants and family.

Each participant will compete in all three skills (Drive, Chip and Putt). Participants will attempt three shots per skill, for a total of nine shots.

Participants will accumulate points in each skill. The participant with the highest number of points in an individual skill will be declared the winner of the skill in his or her age category. The participant with the highest point total in all three skills combined will be declared the overall champion of his or her age category.

Use of a putter is not allowed for competition in the chip skill. Competitors may only use a lofted iron or wood club for this skill. A “chipper” club is considered an approved club for the chip skill.

The MCCS Golf staff may modify competition setup at any time. As in golf, participants are expected to have the ability to adjust to playing conditions, as necessary.
