Join Dr Janet Lee for a cup of tea, from a beautiful vintage cup, nibble on dainty biscuits, and enjoy the art of slow stitching among new friends.

Janet will bring along a variety of needles and bits and bobs, and textiles to share for stitching - teabags, material, linens, threads and buttons.
You can create a delicate object, a teabag rose or a small sampler, and, if you need, Janet can help guide you through some stitches. 

Or you can bring along your own small project to work on... all levels of stitchers are welcome, even if you have never stitched, come and learn, or just come and make new friends.

Feel free to bring along your own needles and threads, or any materials which you would like to work on, or just turn up and have a pot luck sewing morning tea party.
 
 ABOUT JANET
Janet has been a sewer for as long as she can remember, she smocks and embroiders, uses teabags and vintage fabrics in her artwork, keeps her needles in her grandmother’s sewing case, hoards material, and has never met a button she didn’t like.
Her stitched artworks and bookbinding have been repeatedly selected as finalists in the Du Reitz Awards, have been exhibited in joint exhibitions, and her 2025 solo exhibition, Etiquette, featured her stitched teabags, and a selection of her sewing artwork.
Oh, and her designer toddler shorts are a big hit at daycare as well!
