Join artist Joolie Gibbs for a relaxed morning of plein air drawing in the beautiful surrounds of Victory Heights Park. Inspired by Joolie’s decades-long love of sketching wildflowers, big old trees and the textures of the bush, this workshop invites you to slow down, observe closely and connect deeply with nature through drawing.
Participants will explore a range of approaches to outdoor sketching, including frottage (rubbings) to capture the patterns and surfaces found in the environment around us. Joolie’s warm, practical guidance makes this a welcoming session for beginners and experienced artists alike.
