Enjoy the Lacy's taking copious notes from every word you utter and get briefed on GORUCK's focus for the summer, patch rucks, etc. We will be determining the next 5 months of events, routes, patches, etc. and will come with ideas to guide the conversation. WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU! If you're a regular with the club and can't make it, just reach out to one of the ruck leaders and we will be sure to incorporate your ideas into our plans!

At the 2.5 mile mark, there may be a stop for coffee and treats at the Herr residents (Maribeth's parent's place) where those who are tired can be ferried back while the seasoned ones make the return trip.

Children and leashed pets are welcome.

Essentials to bring: Water, appropriate footwear, appropriate clothing for the weather, and a positive attitude.

No ruck? No problem! Walkers are always welcome to join us with zero shame. Empty backpacks work too! We all carry different weights according to our personal fitness goals.
Rucking is a form of physical activity that involves walking with a loaded backpack (or ‘rucksack’) over various distances and terrains. (Plate carriers and sandbags are also welcome.) A moderate amount of added weight can produce the same stimulus and metabolic benefit as running, while also strengthening the legs and lower back. Rucking is similar to hiking and is often used as conditioning by backcountry hunters, endurance athletes, and those in the military and emergency services.
