Discovery Outpost Performing Arts will hold open auditions for our Summer Show, The Sound of Music, Youth Edition. This is for students ages 5-18.

Video Auditions are welcome on a case by case basis but callbacks will need to be in person.

AUDITION SIGN UP Please make sure to list conflicts on the audition form so we can plan rehearsals accordingly.

Cost: $50 one time fee to cover Costumes and venue rental. Cast will receive two complimentary tickets for the family to use for the show of their choice.


Audition prep material:
5-11 year olds will perform the first 32 bars of My Favorite Things. This can be with or without a track. We will include the link and pdf in the comments.

12-18 year olds will perform a song/cut from a song from a classic/Golden Age musical, not to exceed 2 minutes total and a cold read of the script depending on the role they are auditioning for. *Script sides will be given out at auditions.
