¤¤¤ Fiber Arts Fundamentals ¤¤¤
Tuesdays, January 12th 1:00 p.m. 45 minutes. 5 student minimum, $175 per student, sibling discounts available. Registration required and closes Jan. 9th.
This comprehensive, 12 week class will be for age 6+ and will explore fiber from raw fleece to finished item, including the history, science, math, husbandry and production of fabric for our benefit over time.
Completely hands-on! From raw, stinky, sticky sheeps wool to warm and soft comfort and protection. We will get wet, play with natural dyes, ancient techniques and study crochet, knitting, weaving and hand sewing. At the end of this class, students will host a "Student Art Show". All materials included, students will be included, students may need to provide a bag, backpack or carryall for their supplies. All materials are needed for every class.
This class involves natural animal and plant fibers, please be aware of any allergies.
Students will have homework and be expected to complete assignments. Grading will be available.
