Cette année nous déménageons à Plouguerneau, au nord du Finistère. La côte y est magnifique ! Nous serons accueillis dans le complexe sportif de Kroaz Kenan. La plage la plus proche (la plage de Créac’h an Avel) est à 20 minutes à pied. Le camping des Grèves Blanches (en bord de plage) est à 40 minutes à pied. Mais surtout il y a un bus qui relie la salle de pratique, les différentes plages et campings, ainsi que la gare de Brest.
Le format change en se décalant vers les débuts de journées, pour nous laisser les fins d’après-midis et les soirées libres pour les inventer ensemble ! Nous commençons nos journée en beauté par une jam de contact improvisation, où on débute et on finit ensemble afin d’être porté.e.s par nos présences et nos attentions tissées. Après un temps de déjeuner-pique-nique, viendront les temps d’ateliers proposés en binôme, pour rencontrer les univers des enseignant.e.s invité.e.s. Les fins d’après-midis et les soirées enfin sont laissées libres, afin de profiter des joies des côtes bretonnes l’été (plage, balade, farniente, pique-nique au soleil couchant, …) ou de proposer des pratiques en plein air. Le studio sera aussi accessible en fin d’après-midi, si vous souhaitez y prolonger votre plongée.
L’ÉQUIPE ENSEIGNANTE :
Antoine Ragot, originaire de Poitiers, vit actuellement à Berlin. Il est reconnu pour son approche rigoureuse et passionnée au sein de l’Axis Syllabus©, dont il est un représentant certificateur. Il enseigne le contact improvisation depuis plus de 15 ans, une pratique qu’il a découverte aux côtés de Claire Filmon dans les montagnes slovaques en 2005, une rencontre inoubliable qui change le cours de sa vie.
Antoine contribue activement à la création et à l’organisation de divers événements autour de la danse, de la recherche sur le mouvement et du contact improvisation. Il intervient régulièrement lors de stages et festivals à travers l’Europe. À l’hiver 2023, il initie la SuperJam à Berlin, un rendez-vous annuel dédié aux passionné·es de contact improvisation.
Par ailleurs, Antoine est praticien certifié en Rolfing®.
En 2014, il co-fonde le programme annuel d’éducation au mouvement Movement Artisans à LAKE Studios Berlin.
Bougeuse au parcours hybride, Astrid Le Jeune [FR] cofonde avec sa sœur la Cie Du Haut en 2015 : un espace joyeux de recherche-création dans lequel elles aiment emmener la danse aux endroits où elle n’est pas attendue, brouillant les frontières entre geste dansé et quotidien. Elle est engagée depuis une quinzaine d’années dans la pratique de l’improvisation, particulièrement du Contact Improvisation (I. Üski, M. Gaudeau, S. Auberville, N. Stark Smith, N. Little…) qui a bouleversé son rapport au corps et au mouvement en les remodelant depuis la perspective de la relation et du toucher. Depuis 2017, Astrid se forme aux pratiques somatiques (D. U. de Pratique d’Éducation Somatique à Lyon 2018/ Labo du F.A.R. à Paris 2019 / formation en S.P.P (fasciathérapie) à Clermont Ferrand 2022). Curieuse des pratiques martiales, de ses espaces de bagarre sensible et chaotiques tout autant que de ses résonances affectives, elle s’initie au Systema depuis 2020.
Catherine Kych [FR] danse depuis plus de trente ans. La danse classique est son fil conducteur, mais à la recherche d’espaces de liberté, de jeu et de partage, elle a plongé en 2007 dans le contact improvisation. Elle s’est enthousiasmée pour cette pratique non‐normative qui offrait la possibilité de rencontrer, d’abord par le toucher et le mouvement – puis par les mots – des « autres », et de construire et déconstruire avec eux le monde. Chemin faisant, elle s’est dotée de différents outils pour approfondir ses pratiques de danse et d’accompagnement : une formation de « Danse et Thérapie du mouvement » (avec notamment les outils de la CNV et de la pédagogie perceptive de Danis Bois), le D.U. « Danse et éducation somatique » de Paris VIII, une formation en Entretien d’Explicitation qui s’est trouvé être l’outil qui lui manquait pour accompagner la mise en mots de l’expérience des danseurs. Depuis elle est un membre actif du GREX (www.grex2.com), groupe de recherche sur l’explicitation fondé par Pierre Vermersch. Le D.U. « Médecine, méditation et neurosciences » de Strasbourg est venu plus récemment compléter ses connaissances pratiques et théoriques sur l’attention – notamment dans les pratiques méditatives. Et enfin tout dernièrement, Catherine s’est formée en hypnose ericksonienne pour tenter de mieux comprendre les liens entre imagination, perception, langage et relation, et la manière dont ils influencent les mécanismes de création, d’apprentissage et de changement.
Stéphanie Auberville, improvisatrice et chorégraphe basée à Bruxelles.
Depuis le début des années 90, elle est engagée dans la pratique de l’improvisation. Elle a été marquée par l’enseignement d’artistes tels que Lisa Nelson, Deborah Hay, Simone Forti, Nancy Stark Smith. En 2002, elle rencontre Nita Little et devient son assistante entre 2005 et 2009. Elle enseigne le CI et l’improvisation depuis 2003, sous forme de cours hebdomadaires (à Paris de 2004 à 2012) et de stages. Elle a été invitée à enseigner à Metz, Tours, Marseille, au festival de Grenoble, de Rennes, au festival de Freiburg, à San Francisco au WCCIF, à Budapest, à Paris, à Bruxelles au Tic Tac Art Center et dans le cadre du Bachelier Danse Interprétation à Charleroi et au Conservatoire supérieur de Bruxelles . Depuis 95, elle organise des workshops, Nita Little (de 2004 à 2011), Frey Faust de 1995 à 1999, Ralf Jaroschinski en 2011 et 2012, des labs de recherche, des jams à Tic tac art centre ( 2019 à 2025) et des rencontres (le BIP : Bruxelles invite Paris , le PIB : Paris invite Bruxelles) . Son enseignement se base sur un travail sur les perceptions et prend souvent la forme d’une recherche qu’elle partage avec les participant.e.s.

« Au bout du monde 2025 » CI festival in Brittany

This year we're moving to Plouguerneau, in northern Finistère. The coast there is magnificent! We'll be staying at the Kroaz Kenan sports complex. The nearest beach (Créac'h an Avel) is a 20-minute walk away. The Grèves Blanches campsite (by the beach) is a 40-minute walk away. But above all, there's a bus that links the practice room, the various beaches and campsites, as well as Brest train station.
The format changes, shifting towards the beginning of the day, leaving the afternoons and evenings free to invent together! We start the day in style with a contact improvisation jam, where we start and finish together, so as to be carried along by our presence and our woven attentions. After a picnic lunch, we'll move on to workshops in pairs, where we'll encounter the worlds of the guest teachers. Late afternoons and evenings are left free to take advantage of the joys of Brittany's coastline in summer (beaches, walks, lazing around, picnics at sunset, etc.) or to offer outdoor activities. The studio will also be accessible in the late afternoon, should you wish to extend your dive.
Here's what our days will look like:
10:00 am - 1:00 pm - Jam: The jam is a free space dedicated to the practice of contact improvisation. We start and finish together, so as to be carried along by our presence and our woven attentions. It is not possible to participate only partially. Punctuality and commitment are required for the whole 3 hours.
1:00 pm - 2:30 pm: Lunch (self-managed)
2:30 pm - 5:00 pm - Workshop: Each day, a pair of teachers will suggest a subject to explore, in line with the week's theme. This is a guided time.
5:00 pm - 5:30 pm - Circle: This is a time for sharing and looking back on the workshop, as well as for passing on information from the teaching team to the group, and between participants for end-of-day proposals, for example.
5.45 pm - 7.15 pm - Open Studio: This is additional free practice time for those who wish. This can take different forms each day, from a focused jam to a somatic exploration or other proposal. This open studio time will be facilitated by one of us.

3:00 pm - 4:00 pm: Welcome at the studio. If you need to do a little shopping, the village is nearby.
4:00 pm - 6:00 pm: Arrival jam with a suggested jam entry to get us started together.
6:00 pm - 6:30 pm: Opening and welcome circle - part 1 (on Sunday morning, a second circle time will take place. Further information will be given there).
Note: For participants staying at a campsite on the coast or near Lilia, bus 920 stops at the “jean tanguy” stop at 6:44pm, next to the venue. The next bus leaves at 8.45pm.

The day proceeds as in previous days, except for the open workshop, which will not take place.

The teaching team :
Antoine Ragot, originally from Poitiers, currently lives in Berlin.
He is recognized for his rigorous and passionate approach within the Axis Syllabus©, of which he is a certifying representative.
He has been teaching contact improvisation for over 15 years, a practice he discovered alongside Claire Filmon in the Slovak mountains in 2005, an unforgettable encounter that changed the course of his life.
Antoine actively contributes to the creation and organization of various events around dance, movement research and contact improvisation. He is a regular contributor to workshops and festivals across Europe. In winter 2023, he will be initiating the SuperJam in Berlin, an annual event dedicated to contact improvisation enthusiasts.
Antoine is also a certified Rolfing® practitioner.
In 2014, he co-founded the annual Movement Artisans movement education program at LAKE Studios Berlin.

A movers and shakers with a hybrid background, Astrid Le Jeune [FR] co-founded Cie Du Haut with her sister in 2015: a joyful space for research-creation in which they like to take dance to places where it's not expected, blurring the boundaries between danced gesture and everyday life. For the past fifteen years, she has been involved in the practice of improvisation, particularly Contact Improvisation (I. Üski, M. Gaudeau, S. Auberville, N. Stark Smith, N. Little...), which has changed her relationship with the body and movement, reshaping them from the perspective of relationship and touch. Since 2017, Astrid has been training in somatic practices (D. U. de Pratique d'Éducation Somatique in Lyon 2018/ Labo du F.A.R. in Paris 2019 / training in S.P.P (fasciatherapy) in Clermont Ferrand 2022). Curious about martial practices, its sensitive and chaotic spaces of brawl as much as its emotional resonances, she has been initiating herself into Systema since 2020.

Catherine Kych [FR] has been dancing for over thirty years. Classical dance is her common thread, but in search of spaces of freedom, play and sharing, she plunged into contact improvisation in 2007. She became enthusiastic about this non-normative practice, which offered the possibility of meeting “others”, first through touch and movement - then through words - and building and deconstructing the world with them. Along the way, she acquired the tools she needed to deepen her dance and support practices: training in “Dance and Movement Therapy” (using NVC tools and Danis Bois's perceptive pedagogy), a D.U. in “Dance and Somatic Education” from Paris VIII, and training in Entretien d'Explicitation, which turned out to be the tool she needed to help dancers put their experience into words. Since then, she has been an active member of GREX (www.grex2.com), the explicitation research group founded by Pierre Vermersch. More recently, she has completed a D.U. in “Medicine, meditation and neuroscience” in Strasbourg, adding to her practical and theoretical knowledge of attention - particularly in meditative practices. And most recently, Catherine trained in Ericksonian hypnosis to better understand the links between imagination, perception, language and relationships, and how they influence the mechanisms of creation, learning and change.

She has been involved in the practice of improvisation since the early 90s. She has been influenced by the teaching of artists such as Lisa Nelson, Deborah Hay, Simone Forti and Nancy Stark Smith. In 2002, she met Nita Little and became her assistant from 2005 to 2009. She has been teaching CI and improvisation since 2003, in the form of weekly classes (in Paris from 2004 to 2012) and workshops.
