Come along and share in the fun on Saturday 7 Feb, 2pm to 4pm, GU4 8PPAbout this EventA Wassail is an Anglo-Saxon tradition of blessing an orchard to ensure a good harvest. The celebration involves decorating a tree, singing, poetry and cider.Bring a spoon and a pot to help chase away the ‘evil spirits’ and take part in blessing our orchard. Maybe you will be crowned our Wassail King and Queen.There will be apple juice, poetry and plenty of singing.Please wear warm clothes and suitable footwear, as the ground is uneven.Parking is limited, so please try to car share, walk or cycle where possible.Tickets are currently capped at 50 people, please book a ticket (no need to print off though).Free entry. Donations for snacks and drinks are welcome. Please bring cash.Accessibility note: Apologies, the ground is currently unsuitable for wheelchairs. You can park in Longdown Road and then walk along the footpath at the first left-hand bend keep to the right and the garden is set back on the right - about 100m along. To protect that bit of chalk downland from development she purchased 19 acres, which had a history of growing wheat and more recently being cut for hay.
