Vincenzo Bellini's NORMA

Bellini’s opera, ‘Norma’, is being performed by Guildford Opera Company in the atmospheric setting of St Nicolas Church. In a land of oppressed people, the priestess Norma, sung by soprano Callie Gaston, leads her people in revolt against their oppressors whilst also plotting revenge against her partner, Polione’s new young lover, Adalgisa. The opera is sung in English and accompanied by a chamber orchestra. This is a rare opportunity for Guildford audiences to enjoy this work of great dramatic and musical power performed by an award winning company. Tickets available in advance or on the door.
