- **Event Description**: Chantry Wood is known for its springtime bluebells (and the fields below the hill for their summer poppies, actually). This is a 2.8 mile route from a nearby residential road as the car parks on either side of the wood get busy. We’ll walk along the North Downs Way as it follows the route of the old Pilgrims’ Way and loop back through the bluebell woods, pausing at the two viewpoints (if we want to). 

While this is a hill walk, the slopes aren’t too steep but the time of year means you’ll still probably want to wear decent walking boots that can hack wet/muddy conditions.

PARKING AND MEET POINT
Setting off at 10:30am from the clearing at the bottom of the fields where there’s a footpath from Clifford Manor Road. Park along Clifford Manor Road - leave enough time to park up and walk down. 

IS THERE A WALKS WITH RENA PAGE? Yes for Chantry Wood, although not from this location. We’ll do largely the same route though once we’ve walked along the footpath from the roadside.
