We are so hyped to be welcoming back to the venue The Blockheads! Formed in London in 1977 to promote Ian Dury’s album New Boots and Panties!!, The Blockheads quickly became icons of the UK new wave scene, fusing punk, funk, disco and wordplay with hits like “What a Waste”, “Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick” and “Reasons to Be Cheerful, Part 3”.

Despite Dury’s death in 2000, the band have carried on—touring, releasing new material and keeping that sharp, witty spirit alive with successive line-ups. In 2026, they celebrate their 50th anniversary—a golden milestone marking half a century of boundary-pushing music, unforgettable lyrics, and a legacy that still resonates.
