Booze
Dust off your walking shoes and get ready for a liquid history lesson! 🍻
If you’ve ever wandered down Guildford High Street and wondered what those ancient walls would say if they could talk (and had a few pints in them), this is your chance to find out. We’re joining Pete Lambert from DG Outdoor Adventures for a 3km stroll through the town’s spirited past.
Expect a mix of 'I never knew that!' moments and classic local lore as we trace the footsteps of thirsty Guildfordians throughout the ages.
The Game Plan
Where & When: We’re huddling up at Tunsgate Arch at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, 17th June.
The Trek: It’s a 3km loop—just enough to justify that first drink at the end.
Dress Code: Think 'sensible explorer.' Those hills and setts aren't forgiving, so wear comfy shoes and check the clouds before you head out!
The Grand Finale: We’ll be wrapping things up at the legendary Royal Oak. It’s historic, it’s cozy, and the drinks are definitely 'well-earned' after all that walking.
It’s basically a history class, but much better because there’s a pub at the finish line. See you at the Arch!
