We believe that it is not your responsibility to change to fit yoga - it's yoga's job to change to fit you. There is a perfect yoga practice for anyone who wants to give it a try, including all ages, all sizes, all ancestral & cultural backgrounds, all gender expressions & sexual orientations.

Yoga Enlarged for Beginners is a six-week series designed for students who are new to the practice of yoga or interested in reviewing the basics. We will stay focused on alignment & ease in poses and learn simple sequences to help you build a relationship with healthy movement. You will be met with a balance of permission & challenge to help you experience your true capacity for strength, flexibility, serenity, and self-love.

The Beginners series is specifically designed for the student who loves stillness & steadiness, who is interested in staying in a pose a while, and who needs some gentleness and relaxation in their life.

Instructor Angie Never (E-CYT 500) has spent the last decade at the forefront of yoga accessibility. Her personal experiences of taking a fat body into non-fat spaces made her passionate about designing creative physical practices that are rooted in tradition but focused on inclusion. Angie's classes offer a journey towards enjoyable, delightful movement that supports and nourishes the body you have right now.

The class will be held both online & in person at Sacred Shimmy Studio. Please indicate how you plan to attend in the comments section when you register.

All participants will receive a Zoom link to the class about an hour before start time. You will also receive a link to a recording of the class that you can use at another time.
