Join us for the official kickoff of Art Takeover Project 2026, a month-long celebration of creativity, community, and collaboration throughout Downtown Grosse Pointe!

Created to connect local artists, businesses, and the community through interactive displays of art, Art Takeover transforms storefronts and businesses across The Village into a walkable art exhibition featuring talented artists from across Southeast Michigan.

Last year's event featured more than 80 artists displayed throughout 35 local businesses, drawing visitors from across Metro Detroit to experience art in unexpected places.

During the Kickoff Celebration, visitors can:

- Explore artist displays throughout The Village

- Pick up an Art Takeover map at participating businesses

- Vote for your favorite art displays

- Participate in the Art Takeover Scavenger Hunt for prizes 

- Enjoy live music and local entertainers throughout the district

- Experience a fun, family-friendly evening of creativity and community

Whether you're an art lover, collector, supporter of local businesses, or simply looking for a unique night out, Art Takeover Project offers something for everyone.
