However, she has been a professional gardener since 2003. She became a certified MSU Extension Advanced Master Gardener in 2006. Alaine is the chief designer, and the lead gardener of the Garden Center’s Veterans Garden since 2009. She has served on the Garden Center’s Board of Directors since 2016. Alaine is also on the Urban Forestry Commission for the City of Grosse Pointe, since 2017.
