Een bijzondere cantatedienst i.k.v. 20 jaar muziekdiensten.
Al bij de spectaculaire instrumentale inleiding van deze cantate ontstaat het gevoel dat Bach hier iets bijzonders doet. En dat klopt, deze solocantate voor alt is heel feestelijk en ongebruikelijk lang. Bach schreef dit stuk in 1726 en had behoefte aan iets nieuws zoals meer instrumentale inbreng. Allebei de delen beginnen dan ook met een instrumentaal deel, uitzonderlijk, want dat deed Bach in geen enkele andere cantate. Nog een nieuw element was de obligate orgelpartij. De snelle tweede sinfonia is, net als het erop volgende recitatief, de vooraankondiging van de vereniging met God. In een gloedvolle afsluitende jubelzang blijkt de alt niets liever te willen dan een halleluja aanheffen met de engelenschaar. Een heerlijke cantate, met glansrol voor het barokorgel en countertenor Albèrt Guiñón Fort uit Catalunya.
