- **Event Description**: Kintsugi (golden joinery or repair) is the Japanese technique of mending broken objects with lacquer and powdered metals. Led by Lisa Bacon, in this two-day exercise we will use gold powder and a special glue to mend and repurpose your treasured artifacts and heirlooms. The registration fee includes a Kintsugi kit which participants will keep and take home. 

CLASS DATES: Saturdays, April 25 & May 2, 2026 (must attend both days)
TIME: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM (with a break for lunch)
INSTRUCTOR: Lisa Bacon
AGES: 14+
FEE: $75 (Stew members receive 10% discount; students use code STUDENT25 for a 25% discount)

Participants should bring 1 or more (ceramic, glass, wood, plastic, etc.) objects to work on. Lisa will demonstrate techniques and lead you through the process. 

The first session will cover prepping and structural glueing. The second session will cover cleaning up and finishing the gold veining.
