Jo was just 24 years old when she passed away. The sudden loss of a young person devastates families, coming out of the blue with no apparent prior medical warning. Young peoples lives taken as they look to find their way in the world and follow their dreams.

Awareness of heart problems in the young has become very apparent in recent years and we hope that an event like this can continue to help raise awareness and encourage screening for others. 

In memory of Jo, we now want to try and alleviate other families devastation at losing a young person to a sudden Cardiac Death thanks to the local community we have now been able to raise the funds required to host a heart screening event which will enable anyone from ages 14 - 35 to get a heart screening for free! 

This event only has 100 places available and we continue to raise funds towards another event which we hope to secure for 2026 / 2027
