- **Event Description**: Inspired by the American Heart Association's initiative "Go Red For Women" which is the first Friday of February every year. Find something red or with a hint of red to wear and join me for a special day of mini portrait sessions dedicated to raising awareness for women’s heart health and supporting Amy Ward Blair, a local woman currently awaiting a heart transplant due to Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM). She has been hospitalized for 14 weeks awaiting her transplant that could come any day.

Amy’s story is one that resonates deeply with me. I met Amy in early 2022 at an open mic comedy night at The Brick Room before I took over ownership of the business. and I have followed her humor, strength, and words of wisdom ever since via social media. In April of 2022, she tragically lost her daughter, Jillian Blair, at just 17 years old to sudden cardiac arrest caused by the same condition Amy is currently battling. During that very same time, my own 12-year-old son was awaiting open-heart surgery for a condition that could cause sudden cardiac death (Anomalous Origin of Right Coronary Artery). Our families’ journeys crossed in a way that has stayed with me, and this event is my way of giving back and standing beside her to help create awareness for HCM — mom to mom and woman to woman. She has two surviving daughters and a loving and supportive husband.

Mini portrait sessions will be offered throughout the day. Participants are encouraged to wear red in honor of women’s heart health. Men, women & children are all welcome. You will receive a headshot-style portrait session with a variety of backdrop options to choose from. If you want to make this a couples, parent-child or besties session make sure to add on and extra person.

9:00am - 10:00am event: Self serve coffee and tea station. FCFS Quick Headshot Session. Heart Centering breath-work exercise. Networking opportunity.

6:00pm - 8:00pm 21+ Galentine's style event: Self serve hot tea station. FCFS Quick Headshot Session. Heart Centering breath-work exercise. Shop the "Spicy" gift pop up shop by Bridgette Raleigh of Beyond Bliss. Bring your own wine, beer, seltzers and snacks. Fun Valentine's themed playlist music in the background, decorations, Ring lights for selfie's and good times. Can accommodate groups. BYOB beer, wine, seltzers and snacks. 

A portion of each session fee will be donated directly to Amy and her family to help support them during this incredibly difficult season. The remaining portion will help cover studio and event costs. Additional donations can be made in person by cash, check or Venmo.
