Flood protection walls are being designed and built in Westport to reduce flood risk. However, risk can’t be fully eliminated, and evacuation may still be required in a major event.

This free community evening will help you understand:
•	How evacuation decisions are made 
•	The science and modelling behind how flooding is predicted
•	What to expect during an emergency
•	What you need to do to prepare 
•	Where to go and how the process works

We’ll walk you through how emergency management works, what’s in the Westport Flood Evacuation Plan, answer common questions, and give you a chance to meet representatives from local emergency services. 

We’ll also have our community mobile emergency kitchen running with sausage sizzles, plus a few spot prizes.
