Last cemetery tour of the year! 
On this free walking tour, learn about the colorful, poignant, and surprising stories contained in Gresham’s historic cemeteries.This tour covers power dynamics of race and economic circumstance that past residents experienced while living and continued to experience in death. You'll find out about the first Japanese family to live in Oregon; a town marshal who was killed by a falling safe, and a mystery box of bones found in 1900, plus many more stories that bring our shared past to life in vibrant detail.

This one-hour tour covers Gresham Pioneer, Escobar, and White Birch cemeteries, which are all adjacent to each other. Parking is available at West Gresham Elementary School or at nearby Main City Park, and the cemeteries are easily accessible to cyclists arriving from the Springwater Trail. We will meet in the east parking lot of West Gresham Elementary/West Gresham Campus.

Accessibility: The tour takes place on rolling lawn.
