Influencés par l’énergie bruyante du rock indé des 90’ (Fugazi, Slint, Sloy), et l’arrivée d’une voix féminine, les Kingpin font sauter un à un les verrous du matérialisme et d'un monde baillonné de plus en plus divisé. En 2023 le quatuor sort un premier EP aux allures post-punk noisy sous l’égide de Manuel Scalora (prof de skid, ruines) et enflamment les scènes locales (Ampérage, Bifurk, La Bobine, fête du Travailleur Alpin). Puis vient l’expérience et les rencontres avec la grande famille rock Lyonnaise (Trokson, Capucins) aux antipodes des violences qui secoue la capitale des Gaules. Un nouvel élan sculpté dans la révolte et la quête d’intériorité qui marquera le deuxième EP attendu pour l’automne 2026.
