Plongez dans un royaume dirigé par un roi tyrannique qui a juré d’empêcher l’amour d’une jeune bergère et d’un ramoneur. Contraints à la fuite, le couple pourra compter sur l’aide de l’Oiseau, narrateur de ce conte étrange et merveilleux… Signé Grimault et Prévert, d’après Hans Christian Andersen, Le Roi et l’Oiseau est l’un de ces grands dessins animés qui, avec sa poésie, sa force de fable politique, son esthétique bien loin de Disney, transcende les âges et les époques. 
Dans ce ciné-concert, le musicien électro Chapelier Fou (Louis Warynski), violoniste de formation, en revisite la musique originale sur scène, au sein d’un quatuor à cordes iconoclaste. Autoharp, trompette ou harmonium viennent en effet se mêler aux cordes pour donner une touche unique à la partition de Wojciech Kilar.
