Join Artist, Jane Beals for a different type of paint class, Acrylic Paint Pouring. You may create your own abstract art piece, beach scene, sunflower, feather, flowers (poppies too in case you missed the last class) or whatever your mind can create. Paint Pouring is a fun technique that uses paint mixed with a flow medium to create a one of kind piece without traditional brushwork using a variety of unorthodox tools (chain, balloon, straw, torch & more). Many people find this art form very relaxing, similar to meditation. No previous painting or art experience necessary.
Here's the TWIST! Do you have an old canvas or picture (not photo paper; however, canvas and metal is fine) that you would like to revise and pour paint over? Maybe a family photo containing your ex (or someone else's)? How about a plant pot, lamp, or vase that you would like a burst of colour on? Please note all items must be approved by Jane prior to class and she will quote you a price depending on size of the item.
OPTIONS:
*$25 per person (includes TWO 5x7 canvases)
*$40 per person for 11x14" or 12x12" canvas (limited quantity for both of these)
*$55 per person for 10 x 20" (limited quantity available)
* Personal item. Must be approved prior to class and quote will be provided for cost depending on size of the project.
You will need to leave your artwork to be picked up at a later date to give it time to dry. This class is for all ages and abilities, children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Although this class is scheduled for 3 hours, length of time depends on size of project. Two 5x7's can be completed in 1.5 - 2 hours.
