?  WHAT TO EXPECT
 ? Experienced rosarians will provide hands-on instructions to volunteers on how to prune roses for a beautiful spring bloom. 
 ? Before going into the garden there will be a demonstration of proper pruning methods and an overview of suggested tools. 
 ? Bring your gloves and pruners!
 ? The short program will be followed by local rose society members and volunteers pruning the roses at America’s Rose Garden. 
 
✉️ Registration is not necessary, but helpful to plan for lunch, email eventcoordinator@rose.org, or call 318-938-5402.

Date: Saturday, February 22, 2025
Place: Klima Rose Hall, The American Rose Center, 8877 Jefferson Paige Road
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Cost: $10, lunch is provided

9:00AM: Welcome
9:00-9:30AM: Connie Reeve, Shreveport-Bossier Rose Society, Consulting Rosarian - Connie will demonstrate the art of pruning rose bushes.
9:30AM - Noon: Hands on pruning demonstration in the gardens - Attendees will learn how to prune roses under the guidance of rose society members.
Noon: Lunch is served
1:00: Pruning continues in the gardens

Future Program Dates: April 26, Celebration of Spring Bloom in the Garden. A day of speakers and a tour of
the garden.
