The Refuge is encouraging Johnson and Marion County residents to bundle up and raise cold, hard cash for The Coldest Night of the Year (WALK). A family-friendly winter fundraising walk for Johnson and Marion County homeless, hungry and hurting, the WALK takes place on the evening of February 28, 2026.
The walk begins and ends at Center Grove Church, located at 2340 S. SR 135, Greenwood, Indiana. Participants will walk a 2km or 5km route, with tasty light meal to celebrate their efforts together at the finish line.
This is The Refuge's 3rd year taking part in the Coldest Night of the Year, and we are aiming to raise $20,000 for our work with people experiencing hunger, hurt, and homelessness in Johnson and Marion County. We are making a goal of 200 walkers to participate and hope you will join us.
Together, we can make this cold night a little warmer for those who need it most.
