Growing Healthy Together with Comfort Food Community

Join Comfort Food Community for their 5-class series where students and parents will learn about nutrition and food preparation. Students will make individual portions of a snack or meal and have a chance to taste-test!

Classes are for students in grades 3-6, parents should accompany their child. Participants should plan to attend all 5 classes. Check out the class schedule below:

Week 1: Discover MyPlate

Week 2: How to follow a recipe

Week 3: Explore the six nutrients our bodies need

Week 4: Master food labels and make more nutritious swaps

Week 5: Design your own meal and set goals to stay active and eat well
