Facilitator Information: 

Kelly Pfeiffer wears two hats in her role as an educational trainer. She is a Certified Positive Discipline Lead Trainer and has been teaching the highly experiential Positive Discipline curriculum for twenty-six years to parents, childcare providers, and other trainers in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Additionally, Kelly is trained in the "Circle of Security Parenting" curriculum. As a "Training from the Back of the Room" Trainer and owner of Trainer Go Interactive Training, Kelly supports instructors, educators, coaches, facilitators and trainers to design and deliver interactive, high engagement workshops when teaching any topic to adult learners. Kelly lives in Greenville, SC, loves pickleball and is a graduate of Furman University.


Workshop Description: 

This is an online interactive and streamed video workshop designed for parent educators, teachers, therapists, childcare professionals and others who want an effective discipline approach. This method is based on Adlerian Psychology and integrates social and emotional learning while reducing challenging behaviors. Successful participants will earn recognition as a Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator and will:

1. Learn research based and effective tools and techniques for teaching parents how to use discipline that is kind and firm at the same time (non-punitive, non-permissive)
2. Learn how to facilitate a parent class from the position of a non-expert.
3. Gain practice with experiential exercises that help parents go beyond intellectual understanding to be able to respond in empowering ways that teach children.
4. Learn how to use materials and activities in group settings, parenting classes, and individual work with families.
