Through discussion, case examples, and interactive learning, participants will explore neurodiversity-affirming approaches to sensory regulation, communication, social learning, and self-advocacy, walking away with tools they can apply immediately in clinical and educational settings.Learning Objectives: Upon completion, participants will be able to:Describe the core principles of the neurodiversity paradigm and how they apply to clinical and classroom practice.Identify strategies for supporting sensory and emotional regulation using co-regulation and environmental modifications.Apply neurodiversity-affirming approaches to communication, social learning, and self-advocacy that move beyond traditional, deficit-based models.Lunch: 12-1pm.Lunch is included with registration for In-Person attendees.Email Michelle at csd@uncg.edu by October 5th if you have any special dietary restrictions.The virtual meeting will remain open (muted) from 12pm-1pm.
