- **Event Description**: Welcome to the Forge introduction to pottery course for teens, open to all teens 12-18 years old. The class is designed for beginners. In this course, you will learn the fundamentals to be able to produce your own creations. This course is taught by NC licensed art educator Jessica Schuele. Students will be instructed on how to use the pottery wheel, tools, clay preparation, and how to enjoy working with mud.

This course meets two times for two hours. The first week we spend two hours creating on the pottery wheel. The following week we spend two hours painting our pottery pieces.

This course focused on learning the fundamentals. Students will be able to return to the Forge to collect their pieces after they have been glaze fired by staff.
