At the start of each session, we will be lead by a brief guided improvisation as a way to warm up the body and to connect your movement to your mind.ARTIST BIO:Elijah, or Eli, Motley (Greensboro, NC) is a choreographer, dancer, teacher, and an MFA Degree of Dance and Choreography recipient from the University of North Carolina Greensboro. Eli holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and Theatre and a Bachelor of Science in Civil/Environmental Engineering from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. Eli situates his choreography within the frame of Hip-Hop Theater and Immersive theater. His choreography has been presented in Virginia, North Carolina, New York City, Chicago, Wisconsin, Norfolk, and Texas. In addition to performing, he frequently teaches as a guest artist in public schools, various dance studios, collegiate, and high school dance festivals. He is currently a Visiting Professor in the School of Dance at Elon University in North Carolina and a member of Rouge Artistry Dance Crew.
