The 14th installment of the series will take place Thursday, April 16th, 2026, at Sound View Greenport. The theme, Spring Awakening, invites readers to reflect on renewal, evolution, and the tender, sometimes uncertain act of growing into who we are becoming. Spring does not arrive all at once, it unfolds slowly, in light, in warmth, in the steady return of life. This is a season of growth, where what was once dormant begins to stir and stretch toward something new.Jesse Browner is the author of five novels, including the recent Sing to Me (Little, Brown 2025) and the memoir How Did I Get Here? (Harper, 2015). He has translated the works of numerous French literary masters, including Jean Cocteau, Paul Eluard, Rainer Maria Rilke, Frédéric Mitterand and Matthieu Ricard. His essays have appeared in Bookforum, Food & Wine, New York Magazine and Poets & Writers, among others. In addition, Browner spent over thirty years working at the United Nations, where he translated, edited and published the official records of the Security Council and the General Assembly. He lives in New York City.Authors TBA!Nameless Writers Salon began in January 2024 and quickly became a local favorite: the inaugural salon drew capacity crowds and even maintained a waiting list, with Sound View accommodating 60 patrons per event. The salon is always free to attend in the spirit of art being shared and open to all. Monthly salons are set in The Library of the hotel and feature a rotating curator who selects themes and up to five readers per event. The Halyard restaurant is open for food and beverages purchases. A short intermission sometimes includes a giveaway or trivia, and in classic salon tradition, guests are seated among new company (though parties are kept together). Over the course of the first two seasons, the series has developed a dedicated audience across writing, arts, and literary communities.As the third season continues, Nameless Writers Salon reaffirms its commitment to literary risk-taking, communal connection, and the fostering of conversation across genre and perspective.
