These transcripts were transformed into the play The Laramie Project, which tells the stories of real people who lived at the epicenter of one of the nation’s most heinous modern anti-gay hate crimes.The Laramie Project is one of the most frequently performed plays in America, as its messages still resonate with audiences today. Join us for GCC's spring theater performance of The Laramie Project by Moisés Kaufman, an acclaimed drama that revolves around the 1998 horrific death of openly gay University of Wyoming student, Matthew Shepard, who was brutally beaten and left to die, mainly—if not fully—due to his sexual orientation.
