- **Event Description**: Our next 4th Friday Contra for Experienced Dancers at the Guiding Star Grange falls on December 26th.

We are delighted to welcome back to our series caller Julian Blechner.  Julian, a seasoned contra caller based in Western Massachusetts, has been calling for dancing since 2011.  He brings a cheerful, friendly attitude with clear, concise teaching and prompting, and he will surely plan an interesting program for our experienced dancers.

We welcome to our series the band Joy Factor  They feature original tunes alongside a traditional repertoire with twin fiddling by Rebecca Weiss and Gianna Marzilli Ericson and solid guitar backup by Henry Yoshimura.  Together these three bring creativity, variety, tradition, and joy to any dance hall or room they find themselves making music in!

Your dancing supports and enhances the experience of all through shared weight, good timing and respectful connections.

You know how to recover from a lapse and you respond to confusion and missteps, by yourself and others, with grace, encouragement and good humor.
