- **Event Description**: Our next 4th Friday Contra for Experienced Dancers on Friday June 26 at the Guiding Star Grange will feature caller Annie Kidwell, along with the band The Second Floor and fiddler Dave Langford.

We are delighted to welcome caller Annie Kidwell to our series and look forward to their thoughtful programming, clear teaching and fine calling.  

The band "The Second Floor" includes Cecily Mills on cello, Steven Bluestein on various wind instruments and Abe Joyner-Meyers on guitar.  For this night their guest fiddler will be Dave Langford, well known to contra dancers from the bands Kestrel, The Latter Day Lizards & Stomp Rocket.

You know how to do figures ike a roll away, hey for four, California twirl, contra corners, pass through to a wave, box circulate, mad robin, and basic moves without teaching.

You know where to be at the start of each dance phrase and assist your partner and neighbor to the next move.

You execute flourishes safely and on time without disturbing others.

Your dancing supports and enhances the experience of all through shared weight, good timing and respectful connections.

You know how to recover from a lapse and you respond to confusion and missteps, by yourself and others, with grace, encouragement and good humor.
