Putnam County Covered Bridge Day

Join us for a three part learning experience including a presentation by Kurdziel Barker Engineering about Structure & Building of Historic Covered Bridges, a brief history of covered bridges in Putnam County, Indiana, and site visits to Baker’s Camp Covered Bridge and Pine Bluff Covered Bridge.

Event Schedule:
-10:30am: Presentation at YMCA
-1:00pm: Bakers Camp Covered Bridge: learn about the Burr Arch
truss construction
-2:00pm: Pine Bluff Covered Bridge: learn about the Howe truss
construction
-Optional Experience: Guided hike in the Big Walnut Nature
