Learn the art of fly tying with the experts from Platte Rivers Veterans in Reel Skills! Whether you're a seasoned angler or a complete beginner, this hands-on workshop will teach you essential fly-tying terms, techniques, and best practices. By the end of the session, you'll take home your very own handcrafted fly—and possibly a new favorite hobby!
All supplies are provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own fly-tying equipment if they have it.
Open to adults and high schoolers, children 12-15 must attend with an adult.

About our program partner: Platte Rivers Veterans Fly Fishing provides basic fly fishing, fly casting, fly tying, and rod building classes for veterans. Participants are from all walks of life, all fishing abilities, and from all branches of the military. Fly fishing gear, fly tying equipment, and materials for rod building are provided at no cost to veterans. Fishing trips, both one-day and multi-day, are also provided free of charge to veterans.
