Calling all gardeners and plant enthusiasts! Join us for our annual Seed Swap, a community event where you can share seeds, exchange gardening tips, and grow connections. Whether you're an experienced gardener or just starting out, this is the perfect opportunity to diversify your garden with new and exciting plants.
Here’s how it works:
Donate Seeds Ahead of Time:
Drop off your labeled seed donations at the LINC Library’s Ask Desk from February 1st to February 27, 2026.
Seeds can be store-bought or saved from your own garden, but please ensure they’re clearly labeled with the plant type and variety. Examples: "Sunflower - Mammoth", "Tomato - Cherokee Purple", "Cilantro"
To support sustainable gardening and avoid potential legal concerns, we encourage participants to share only open-pollinated or heirloom seeds. Please avoid hybrid or patented varieties, as these may have restrictions on saving and sharing. If you're unsure about a seed’s status, feel free to ask or check the original seed packaging.
Attend the Swap:
On the day of the event, browse and take home seeds to add to your garden.
Bring any last-minute seeds to contribute if you’d like!
What to Bring:
Seeds!
A small container, envelopes, or bags for collecting seeds during the event.
Any extra seeds or gardening resources you’d like to share (optional).
This event is free and open to the public. Let’s grow something great together!
