🎄 **Napanee Parade – Scout & Venturer Float!** 🛶
Our Scouts and Venturers are taking part in the Napanee Parade this year — and we’ll have our very own float!
The youth have chosen to create a **canoe on wheels filled with gifts**, which they’ll take turns pulling along the parade route.
### 🦌 Theme & Dress Code
- Dress **warm and ready for the weather** — it’s a 2-hour walk in the elements.
- Bonus: Dress up with **reindeer antlers or festive accessories** to help “pull the sled!”
- Wear your **group necker over your coat** so the crowd can spot our Scouts easily.
### 🍬 Optional Treats
Scouts can bring **store-bought candy or treats** to hand out along the way.
👉 Please **lob treats gently underhand** toward the crowd — no throwing into faces or the road!
### 🛴 Scooters & Helmets
Scooters are welcome (with a **helmet**).
🚫 **No bikes**, since the parade pace is slow with frequent stops.
### 🎨 Float Decorations
We’ll decorate our canoe float at the **meeting before the parade**, so please bring along any decorations or lights from home that could help make it shine!
### 🚐 Support Vehicle
Scouter David will be following right behind in his work van, playing music and serving as our **mobile first aid station**. We’ll even add some lights to his van to keep the festive spirit rolling!
