Step back in time through the eyes of a young Canadian airman.

When Napanee native Jeanie set out to honour her father’s remarkable story, she uncovered journals, photographs, and letters that revealed his journey from small-town Ontario to the perilous skies over Germany. His experiences, from flying bombing missions, being captured, surviving as a Prisoner of War, and finally returning home- form a gripping narrative of courage and resilience.

In this special evening presentation, Jeanie will share her father’s story along with photographs that will bring his experiences to life.

Cost: $3/Person, FREE for Museum members

Time: Doors open at 6:30PM, talk begins at 7:00PM

Pre-registration is not required. All are welcome! 

 Author Bio: Jeanie Quirt Brown

Like her father, and at least three generations before him, Jeanie was born and raised in the Napanee area.  She left Napanee in 1974 to attend Queen’s University in Kingston. After graduation she pursued a career in the financial services field, living in various cities in Eastern Ontario. Having retired in 2019, her plans for that new phase of life were changed dramatically by the pandemic shutdown.  It was the perfect opportunity to fulfill a promise to herself to write a book about her Dad’s experience in the RCAF and as a Prisoner of War during World War 2.  She currently resides in Aurora, ON.
