Please remember to make alternative arrangements.Ample parking available on site.Course AimsThis brand new and exciting training session has been designed specifically for frontline professionals. Provided by Alcohol Change UK, this one-day course will equip those working on the frontline with the confidence, knowledge and practical tools to engage high-risk and dependent drinkers using the nationally recognised Blue Light approach. Learning ObjectivesBy the end of this course, participants will be able to:Identify clients in need of supportUnderstand the rationale and value of interventions for this client groupRecognise the physical and psychological impacts of chronic alcohol useUse the 'assessing barriers to change' frameworkApply a range of relevant technique, including harm reduction, risk management and nutrition spuportUnderstand and utilise relevant legal powers, including those within the antisocial behaviour frameworkDevelop realistic and effective intervention plans tailored to individual needsTerms and conditionsPlease only book a place if you are certain you can attend.
