Der Schweizer Thomas Ulrich ist Abenteurer, er hat die höchsten Berge bestiegen, das patagonische Inlandeis durchquert und als erster Mensch eine Solo-Nordpol-Überquerung von Sibirien nach Kanada gewagt – und nur knapp überlebt. Kurz darauf war er bereits wieder in der Arktis unterwegs.
Außerdem ist er einer der besten Outdoor-Fotografen und Kameramänner, als letzterer war er für den Film „Nordwand“ tätig.
In seinen Vorträgen kombiniert er seine Abenteuerlust und sein Können als Fotograf und erzählt – untermalt mit Bildern und Filmen - packend von seinen Erlebnissen im Eis, von der Leidenschaft, immer wieder loszuziehen. Danach hat man das Gefühl: Alles ist möglich. Wenn man nur will.
