Der lettische Komponist Ēriks Ešenvalds gilt als einer der gefragtesten Chorkomponisten seiner Zeit. Seine Werke werden auf der ganzen Welt aufgeführt – von Europa und den USA bis nach Australien. Durch die Zusammenarbeit mit renommierten Chören weltweit haben seine Kompositionen internationale Anerkennung und großes Ansehen erlangt.

Jeder Teilnehmerin bringt zwei bis drei eigene Kompositionen zur Masterclass mit. Dabei können auch Werke vorgestellt werden, die noch nicht vollendet sind und im Laufe der Masterclass weiterentwickelt werden sollen.

Die Besetzung ist frei wählbar und kann Kompositionen für Chor, Chor und Instrumente/Orchester oder auch rein instrumentale Werke umfassen. Für die Teilnehmenden stehen während der Masterclass Räume mit Klavieren zur Verfügung. Darüber hinaus besteht die Möglichkeit, Workshops und Proben zu beobachten, an denen Ēriks Ešenvalds selbst beteiligt ist.

Latvian composer Ēriks Ešenvalds is considered one 
of the most sought-after choral composers of his time. His works are performed across the globe—from Europe and the USA to Australia. Through collaborations with renowned choirs worldwide his compositions have achieved international recognition and acclaim.

Each participant brings two or three compositions to the masterclass. These can also be works that are not yet finished and that will be further developed during the masterclass.
The instrumentation is freely selectable and can include compositions for choir, choir and instruments/orchestra, or purely instrumental works. Rooms with pianos are available to participants during the masterclass. Furthermore, there is the opportunity to observe workshops and rehearsals in which Eriks Esenvalds is involved.
