DENISE GORDON wuchs als Tochter karibischer Eltern in England auf und lebt als Singer-Song-Writer in London und auf ihrer Heimatinsel in der Karibik. Als soulige Jazzsängerin feiert sie Erfolge rund um die Welt, von Australien bis Zimbabwe. Bereits im Alter von drei Jahren sang sie mit ihrer Mutter Gospels in der Kirche. Durch ihr afro – karibisches Erbe überzeugt sie als Jazzsängerin ihr Publikum in zahlreichen Stilen von Spiritual, Soul und Rhythm & Blues bis New Orleans und Funk.

Bei ihrer aktuellen Konzertreihe wird sie vom VIENNA SWING QUARTETT begleitet. Herb Berger (Saxophon und chromatische Mundharmonika), Herbert Swoboda (Klavier), Martin Treml (Kontrabass) und Wolfgang Kendl (Schlagzeug) sind kongeniale Begleitmusiker internationaler Jazzgrößen und bilden ein swingendes Ensemble, das Denise Gordon in ihrer musikalischen Vielfältigkeit zu unterstützen weiß.
