Curious about making your own yarn? Learn the art of hand spinning in this beginner-friendly, hands-on class using a drop spindle.

In this 2-hour workshop, you’ll explore the basics of spinning custom yarn, a portable and affordable fiber art you can take anywhere. We’ll cover fiber preparation, drafting, spinning singles, plying, and finishing your yarn, along with an introduction to spinning tools and terminology.

You’ll get to work with a top-weight drop spindle and nostepinne while learning about the unique qualities of wool and other fibers. Bring your curiosity and questions, and leave with the skills to create your very first homespun yarn.

 Class Details:
• In-person, small group (max 6 participants)
• Ages 13 and up
• 2-hour class
• $40 per student

 Supplies Included:
• Drop spindle (yours to use for class)
• Nostepinne
• 3 oz of fiber
• All tools needed to spin, set, and finish your yarn

 Optional purchases available after class:
• Drop spindles: $15 each
• Additional fiber: $4.50 per ounce
