Curtain Up! Lake County Symphony Orchestra Season Opener

The Lake County Symphony Orchestra opens its 2025–26 season with an exhilarating evening of music for stage and screen. Guest conductor Timothy Semanik leads a program that celebrates opera houses, Broadway stages, and Hollywood blockbusters.

From Rossini’s sparkling Barber of Seville Overture to Bizet’s sultry Carmen and Gershwin’s unforgettable Porgy and Bess, the first half explores great music written for the theater. After intermission, the orchestra turns to Broadway and Hollywood with Bernstein’s West Side Story, John Williams’ iconic themes from Jurassic Park and Raiders of the Lost Ark, and more.
