Everybody is welcome and no previous experience is needed.Our sessions take place every Thursday from 10am -12pm on the following dates:SUMMER TERM:Thur 23rd AprilThur 30th AprilThur 7th MayThur 14th MayThur 21st May- HALF TERM BREAKThur 4th JuneEVENT - Sat 6th June - save the date!Thur 11th June(No session Thur 18th June)EVENT - Fri 19th June - save the date!Thur 25th JuneVenue: Welcome to the UK, Unit 18, Grays Shopping CentreWith expert artists Marsha Ashley and Salina Jane we will create our own artwork and contribute towards the making of our Together Create Pop Up Art space. Building on the our Community Picnic Blanket created in summer 2025, we will now be creating cushions and large-scale collaborative artworks, which weave together stories, dreams and cultural traditions. We will learn new textile and artistic techniques and share our skills with one another.Our creative outcomes will be shared at events taking place in Thurrock across the year. Following the success of our uplifting Winter Welcome event, this Spring/Summer we are working towards an exciting collaboration with our friends at Kinetika and T100, as well as an event to mark Refugee Week 2026, and explore its theme of 'Courage'.No previous experience is required, all are welcome.
