✨ Coming This December… the WES Pantomime ✨
It is the kind of magic, teamwork and creativity that helped Arts Council England recognise William Edwards as the first school ever to achieve Triple Platinum Artsmark status - and this year’s panto shows exactly why.
Our pupils do not just perform; they build the entire show. They bond with like-minded friends and work with our wider community, including performing to five local primary schools and welcoming elderly care homes for a festive day of panto, singalong and seasonal treats. It is a true celebration of connection, creativity and shared joy.
For the past three months, students have and will:
• Design the lighting and create software that syncs it with the sound
• Create and mix all backing tracks and sound effects, fully programmed into the show
• Design and make elements of their own costumes
• Create sections of the choreography for the dance numbers
• Build the set and run the backstage
• Perform with two live bands that are made up entirely of pupils
Every moment of this production is pupil led, giving them real life industry experience. They show up week after week, evenings and weekends, rehearsing lines and choreography at home, supporting each other with resilience, creativity and heart. We are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved and we cannot wait for you to see their hard work come alive on stage.
